Oman Air says to launch daily flights to second Iranian city Mashhad

The inaugural flight took off on June 1 and was followed by a press conference the next morning.

In the evening, a dinner was held, hosted by deputy CEO and executive vice president commercial, Oman Air, Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy, which was attended by VIPs and senior representatives from the aviation authorities of both Oman and Iran.

The dinner was held at the Ghasr Talaee International Hotel in Mashhad, under the patronage of the advisor to the Omani Ministry of Finance, HE Mohammed Jawad bin Hassan bin Sulaiman.

The Omani carrier’s daily service to Mashhad joins the currently running Tehran flight schedule.

Served by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flights depart Muscat International Airport at 14:00, arriving at Mashhad International Airport (also known as Shahid Hashemi Nejad Airport) at 17:15. Return flights depart Mashhad International Airport at 21:45 and arrive in Muscat at 23:50 (all times local).

Mashhad – Iran’s second most populous city – is a major culture, religion and business hub.
