The privately-owned Zagros Airlines launched its first Russia route from Isfahan on Friday. The route operates every Friday to and from Russia, according to a statement on the official website of Isfahan’s Shahid Beheshti International Airport.
The airline changes its Russia destination on a weekly basis: It flies to Moscow in one week and switches to St. Petersburg the next.
On Friday, the company’s Airbus 320 flew to Moscow. Zagros, which has only recently started operating international routes, has ambitions to serve more foreign destinations and on Thursday committed to buying 28 aircraft from Airbus: 20 A320neo and 8 A330neo.
